Eric Abrahamson
Professor Eric Abrahamson is a tenured full professor of management at Columbia Business
School. He holds degrees from New York University (Ph.D. and M.Ph.). After teaching at
New York University, professor Abrahamson joined the Columbia Business School faculty in 1989.
He has taught at the London Business School, UK, and was also a visiting Professor at
INSEAD, France. Professor Abrahamson is a native French speaker.
Professor Abrahamson is an active consultant and instructor in corporate executive education
programs around the world. His clients include Agrevo, Altria, Avon, Aviva, BOC, Bahrain

Ambassador Ahmad Kamal
Ambassador Ahmad Kamal is currently a Senior Fellow of the United Nations Institute of
Training and Research and President of the Ambassador's Club at the United Nations.
Ambassador Kamal served as a professional diplomat in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
of Pakistan for forty years until his retirement in 1999. During this period he held
diplomatic postings in India, Belgium, France, the Soviet Union, Saudi Arabia, the
Republic of Korea, and with the United Nations in both Geneva and New York.
During his decade-long assignment as Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Pakistan
to the United Nations, he held many of the highest elective posts:
- Vice President of the General Assembly
- President of the Economic and Social Council
- Chairman of the Consultations on the Role of NGOs at the United Nations
- Chairman of the Working Group on Informatics
- Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the United Nations Institute of Training and Research

He was the chief negotiator for Pakistan in
the Uruguay Round negotiations which led to the establishment of the World Trade Organization.
Ambassador Kamal is the author of several publications on topics of management, multilateralism,
global economic issues and the technical aspects of informatics and information technology.
He is also an Honorary Visiting Professor at several universities in the United States;
Seton Hall University, Depaul University and New York University.
Anthony Eve, PMP®, MAPM, PRINCE2 Practitioner
Mr. Eve is the Vice President of Business Management Consultants Consulting Division
based in the South West of England where he also directs the UK Operations. He is an
experienced project consultant and implementer of change with proven ability within a
variety of industries demonstrated by the achievement of quality project work to
budget and within timescale.
Mr. Eve specializes in the design and implementation of project/program management
systems with a particular strength in the people development areas of this discipline
as well as management of complex change programs. His professional career of twenty
years' began Production Engineering, Project Management, Change Management, and
the development of management systems. He has led a variety of multi disciplinary
teams in project and change management and has a natural, successful style of

Management competency based performance systems; the assessment of organisations
Project Management Maturity; the establishment of strategic development policies and
the design and implementation of Project Management development programs. His success
led Airbus to position him in Airbus Head Office, Toulouse, where he was responsible
for the harmonisation and development of the global Project Management System of the
company with an international team and Project Management population of around 1200
people.
Mr. Eve is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), a member of the Project
Management Institution (PMI), a member of the UK Association of Project Management
(APM) and is a PRINCE2 Practitioner.
Joseph Onochie
Dr. Joseph Onochie is a thought-leader in the worlds of finance and risk
management. He is an Associate Professor of Economics and Finance,
and Academic Director of the Executive MBA Program at the Zicklin School of
Business at Baruch College of the City University of New York where
he teaches undergraduate, graduate, and executive education courses
in managerial finance, derivative securities, investments, corporate finance,
and health care finance.
Dr. Onochie received his Bachelor of Science in petroleum engineering from
University of Ibadan, Nigeria, an MBA in finance at Tulane University in
New Orleans, a Master of Arts degree in economics, and his Ph.D. in financial
economics from University of New Orleans. Dr. Onochie has written numerous
articles and publications on topics concerning finance and economics for
magazines such as, The Journal of Futures Markets, Financial Review and
The Review of Financial Economics. His current research program includes
investigations on the effects of corporate finance decisions on health care
institutions. He is an active member in many professional organizations.
Gordian Gaeta
Dr. Gordian Gaeta has been an advisor, consultant and partner to investment banks, and
corporate finance boutiques within the region for more than 20 years. He has developed
strategies and business plans for capital markets businesses in all major Asian
economies as well as for many of the region's stock exchanges, capital markets
associations and financial institutions. He currently operates his own private equity
investments, risk advisory business and undertakes corporate restructurings.
Dr. Gaeta began his career in commercial and private banking that took him across several
countries before moving to consulting in the early 1980s. Having started at Booz-Allen &
Hamilton in London, Dr. Gaeta left and co-founded Spicer & Oppenheim Consultants,
a specialised financial services business based in London and Hong Kong. He subsequently
also became the strategy advisor to Standard Chartered Bank for Asia. In 1991, Dr. Gaeta
returned to Booz-Allen and became the company's managing partner in Hong Kong for Asia
financial services until 1998.
Dr. Gaeta is or has been a partner in corporate finance firms in Australia, Thailand,
Hong Kong and Europe. He has lectured and given seminars to management of investment
banks across Asia. He has a master and doctorate in law and studied mathematics and
business sciences. He is a director and fellow of the Hong Kong Institute of
Management Consultants and chairman of the Ethics Committee. He is a well known
figure on the international conference circuit, the editor and co-author of Frontiers
in Credit Risk, former academic and guest lecturer at several universities.
Michael Preiss
Michael Preiss is currently Associate Director with the Investment Advisory Group in HSBC Private
Bank, Dubai. He was formerly Senior Vice President and Senior Investment Advisor in Coutt's Bank
(a subsidiary of Royal Bank of Scotland). He is also a Research Fellow at The Asian Bond
Market Forum, a Hong Kong based think-tank. He is a resident trainer with
Evolvere Inc., an Asian based executive training provider. Prior to that he was
Chief Investment Strategist for CFC Securities, an independent bond trading house.
He has extensive experience in, research, strategy consulting, investment and asset management.
A regular guest commentator on Bloomberg TV, CNBC Asia, and CNN, the BBC as well as
India's New Delhi Television, a columnist for finance magazine's in Hong Kong and
China, as well as the Bangkok Post where he contributes the regular "Ahead of the Curve"
column.
Mr. Preiss is working with Thailand's Ministry of Finance, as one of the founding
members of the Asian Bond Market Development Secretariat in Bangkok. He has also
been an guest lecturer at the Chinese University of Hong Kong where he taught on
Technical Analysis as well as a course on Banking & Financial Institutions with a
focus on China's Financial System. He is an accredited trainer with the American
Academy of Financial Management and works on the editorial committee of the
Professional Association.
Bill Doescher
Bill Doescher is an associate Consultant with Business Management Consultants based in
Houston, Texas. In his 20-year career, he has led project teams in new product development,
application development, technology introduction, project and portfolio management processes,
business process change, and marketing program development.
Mr. Doescher has a strong belief that projects are the instruments of change, and people

William H. Byrnes, IV
Professor William Byrnes is an attorney qualified within the US to consult on
federal issues, and in the State of Louisiana, a civil law jurisdiction. He has
been based in many jurisdictions, including London, Amsterdam, South Africa,
Hong Kong, and the USA while practicing (consulting) throughout the offshore
financial center world.
Before becoming a tenured law professor, Professor Byrnes was a senior manager
then associate director, international tax, Coopers & Lybrand, which
subsequently amalgamated into Price Waterhouse. His primary clients at
Coopers & Lybrand were multinational investment and also private banks,
insurance companies, technology companies, and company/trust service providers.
For private clients, he has advised in the areas of estate planning, risk
management, and asset protection, with a particular emphasis on his offshore
expertise.
Since 1992, he has undertaken significant assignments with regard to writing
offering memorandum and undertaking road shows for institutional and private
equity fundraising in the US, Hong Kong, and China, undertaken transfer
pricing assignments, and undertaken the structuring the global operations
of publicly listed multi-national enterprises and of small/mid-size businesses
seeking to expand globally. He has played a significant role within a large
independent trust company in its international expansion to 24 offices globally
and assisted a boutique firm establish its family office.
Professor William H. Byrnes, IV created and licensed/operated various educational
products including the ground breaking Walter H. & Dorothy B. Diamond International
Tax Program, hosted at St. Thomas University School of Law (Miami) and also at
Regent University School of Law (Virginia). Professor Byrnes remains a Visiting
Professor of International Taxation to the Masters program of the Faculty of
Commerce, Law, and Management at the University of the Witwatersrand (Johannesburg)
and before that was the coordinator and lecturer of the International Tax
Masters of Commerce program at RAU (Johannesburg). Professor Byrnes pioneered
distributive legal education through creating the first Internet delivered
legal degree in the United States, offered by a School of Law accredited by
the American Bar Association.
Professor Byrnes has joint ventured with Central Law & Training, Wilmington Group
PLC, a public UK company and largest corporate international trainer, to offer
a complete educational diploma program to its international clientele in the
field of International Tax Planning and Anti-Money Laundering. In 1994, he created
the three and five day training program International Taxation and Offshore
Financial Centers, partnering since 1997 with EuroMoney-Institutional Investor,
which he has marketed to and taught in-house to banks, exchanges, and
governments, in Hong Kong, Singapore, London, Miami, Lisbon, Mauritius,
Dominica, and South Africa. Also, he has chaired, as well as presented at,
many corporate and private banking conferences globally, including
Malaysia, Bahamas, Cayman Islands, India and South Africa. His programs have
included topics as diverse as forecasting economics of B2B integrated supply
chains, the discriminatory US implementation and affect of transfer pricing

Professor Byrnes has been employed as a consultant to a number of governments on
their tax policy, including South Africa, Botswana, The United Kingdom, The
British Virgin Islands, The Turks and Caicos Islands, Anguilla and Montserrat.
He was the primary author and team leader of the 900-page 2004 UK commissioned
Report on the Economic, Socio-Economic, and Regulatory Impact of the Tax Savings
Directive and EU Code of Conduct for Business Taxation upon Selected Offshore
Financial Centers as well as a Competitiveness Report for Selected Offshore
Financial Centers. He has been invited by the European Union Overseas Countries and
Territories Association (OCTA) to present an expanded follow up at a Commission
funded conference in May. The EU Commission will bring together top regulators
and officials from the OCTs and other leading finance centers with top regulators
and officials from key international organizations and EU member states to
discuss the outlook for international financial services regulation.
Professor Byrnes regularly contributes professional articles to /Offshore
Investment/ magazine and publishes professional and academic articles and
conference papers that have been lauded for their uniquely in-depth and
historical approach.
Douglas C. Carroll
Mr. Carroll has been conducting investment training seminars in major financial
centers around the globe for more than a decade. His varied experiences in sales,
trading and investment management allow Doug to draw upon an unusually broad range
of professional activities to demonstrate in the classroom practical applications
of training program content. This is supplemented by a rigorous grounding in the
legal, regulatory and theoretical aspects of the financial markets gained while
earning numerous professional licenses and pertinent college degrees, including
masters degrees in finance and economics.

His earliest market experience was as a Registered Commodity Representative for the
Madda Trading Company dealing primarily in interest rate, currency and agricultural
futures for retail clients. While at Citicorp Investment Services Doug worked on the
bond trading desk executing trades in treasury and municipal securities. Mr. Carroll
has managed client stock and bond portfolios with responsibility for investment
analysis and security selection.
Doug also has extensive professional experience developing and delivering investment
training programs. Audiences and topics have run the gamut from "Introduction to the Securities Markets"
for industry neophytes to "Advanced Derivatives" for portfolio managers and trading desk personnel.
He has presented training programs in most of the major financial centers in Asia, Europe
and the Americas.
Mr. Carroll regularly presents courses and seminars on a wide variety of finance and
investment related topics. Programs delivered at the basic to intermediate level
range from financial accounting to macroeconomics to financial mathematics to orientation
to the stock, bond, options and futures markets. However, the bulk of the programs
delivered, as well as the most advanced content level, relate to the analysis and
valuation of derivatives and fixed income securities.

David M. Weiss
Mr. Weiss is a recognized industry expert in middle and back office transaction processing.
He has authored various articles, papers, and books, including the industry standard,
"After the Trade Is Made." The third edition of this much acclaimed book is scheduled
to be released Fall 2005. He also authored "Global Trade Processing" as well
as "Traders, The Jobs, The Products and The Market."
Known for his domain expertise in mission critical capital and financial markets
practices and systems, David provides consulting and training services to clients throughout the
global markets.
Lawrence Suda
CEO of Palatine Group, a leading provider of leadership, project management and global
project leadership solutions. Palatine Group was among the first to recognize the value
of simulation experiences in developing real-world capabilities among business professionals
and has delivered the value of that vision to tens of thousands of project practitioners.
Larry is a senior practitioner and has been professionally involved in the project
management industry for over 30 years.
In addition to his long list of published papers,
articles and presentations, Larry has taught at the Universities of Iowa, Maryland and
Pittsburgh. He has been a long time presenter at various events in North America (PMI)
and Asia, and was a keynote presenter at the IPMI Congress in New Delhi in November 2005.
As chief executive officer of Management Worlds, Inc., Larry sets the company's overall

Ronald Cox
Senior consultant and trainer with Palatine Group. He has his Ph.D. in chemical
engineering and worked as a management trainer for Mobil and Exxon prior to
his consulting experience and the founding of Management Worlds. His thirty plus years
of project and management career experience spans a portfolio of industries including
Banking, Insurance, Electronics, Data Processing, Petroleum, Manufacturing and Government.
Ron has taught Project Management programs around the world.
Timothy J. Andrews
He has 28 years of hands-on experience in Engineering, Manufacturing and Technical
Management with Celanese, Heinz, and PA International. He has worked as a Project Engineer,
Manufacturing Plant Manager, and Technical Vice President. As a consultant he implemented
MRP designs for IS organizations in manufacturing environments. He has designed and
delivered advanced Project Management courses for more than 25 Fortune 100 companies.
Robert Zeh
The former Director of the AT&T School of Business, having established the Division's
first overseas management education program in Europe. His 30 years of experience include
production projects, supervision and management, as well as management and technical
training. He has designed and delivered project management courses for over 10 years has
extensive experience with Project Management in the healthcare industry, particularly involving
large multi-disciplinary virtual teams.
Angyne J. Schock-Smith
Angyne focuses on Management Development and Training and is a Certified Project
Management Professional (PMP) with expertise in translating strategy into action utilizing
the Porter methodology, decision support modeling, team building, and project / process
management tools and techniques. She is skilled in communicating, organizing, motivating,
analyzing, and enabling change.
Michael Katagiri
During Mike's 26 years of initiating, conceptualizing, developing, and implementing projects,
he has directed large strategic public and private projects including Seattle's
multi-million dollar Community Center Levy Program. He has also managed strategic
innovation projects such as the Woodland Park Zoological Garden's national award winning
Tropical Rain Forest exhibit project and The Northern Trail exhibit project. He is a

William Bartlett
Mr. Bartlett's background spans the full spectrum of fixed-income products. His specialty is
fixed-income "spread product": asset-backed, mortgage-backed, and callable agency securities.
His 30-year Wall Street career included senior positions with First Boston, Lehman Brothers,
and Salomon Smith Barney. Mr. Bartlett is also the author of two books on mortgage-backed
securities: Mortgage-Backed Securities: Products, Analysis, Trading and Valuation of
Mortgage-Backed Securities.
Dan Jones
Mr. Jones has 25 years experience in accounting and management as college professor,
consultant, and business owner. His well-rounded academic credentials include a
degree in Industrial Engineering, an MBA, a master's degree in Accounting, and a CPA
license. As president of his own company, he develops and delivers financial and
management programs such as Mutual Fund Portfolio Accounting, Innovative Management
Practices, Unlearning Traditional Management Accounting, and Profitability Analysis
